Rita's Story
OK. Here is a short story about me. I was born and raised in Jonesboro, AR. I went to East Elementery School, Annie Camp Jr. High, where I became a member of the Jr. National Honor Society, and Jonesboro High School. After the first half of the 10th grade, I moved to Atlanta, GA and enrolled at Bass High School where I played shortstop for the girls' Varsity Softball Team. For about two years, this was MY school! However, beginning the second half of my Senior year, I, once again, moved and attended Jonesboro High School, and it is from there that I graduated. This was at the request of my father who was very, very sick ...Expand for more
and wanted me to come home so that he might see me graduate with my twin brother. My father did not make it that long. Marriage followed about seven months after graduation--- Then came children, (or visa versa) then, after 20 years, divorce, then my life really started. I was with AFLAC for 21 years before I retired. During those years, my positions were as associate, district manager, and advisor. I met thousands of people and learned just how good people are and just how wonderful the world is. I was, indeed, blessed. So, this short story is the "saga of the red-headed girl from Arkansas"--perhaps boring, but all true!
